Tour Itinerary: Monrovia to Marshall Maritime Base and Kokon Ecolodge

9:00 AM – Departure from Monrovia

• Depart from central Monrovia for a one-hour scenic drive to Marshall City, known for its serene coastal landscape and lush greenery. Enjoy the views of coastal scenery and local villages along the way.

10:00 AM – Arrival at Marshall Maritime Base

• Arrive at the Marshall Maritime Base, where you’ll board a boat to begin your trip down the river. Prepare for a relaxing and beautiful boat ride as you navigate through mangroves and riverside scenery.

10:30 AM – Boat Ride to Kokon Ecolodge (Chimpanzee Island Viewing)

• En route to Kokon Ecolodge, you’ll pass by Chimpanzee Island. While you won’t disembark, you’ll have the chance to view the chimps from the boat and hear about the island’s conservation efforts.

11:30 AM – Arrival at Kokon Ecolodge

• Arrive at Kokon Ecolodge, a peaceful island retreat. You’ll be welcomed by the staff and given a brief orientation of the island.

11:45 AM – Guided Tour of Kokon Island

12:45 PM – Lunch at Kokon Ecolodge

1:30 PM – Free Time at Kokon Ecolodge

• Enjoy 2 hours and 30 minutes of free time to fully experience the beauty of Kokon Island. You can:

• Unwind by the river with a book.
• Or simply take in the tranquil surroundings of this eco-retreat.

4:00 PM – Boat Ride Back to Marshall Maritime Base

• Board the boat for a return trip to Marshall. Enjoy the scenic boat ride and take in the peaceful atmosphere one last time.

4:30 PM – Arrival at Marshall Maritime Base

• Arrive back at Marshall Maritime Base and prepare for your return drive to Monrovia.

5:15 PM – Arrival in Monrovia

• Arrive back in Monrovia, concluding your full-day tour.
